Food Focused Nutrition Events
…In Your Kitchen!
Jex facilitates virtual group experiences throughout the year to explore creativity, community, and connection.
These events offer an opportunity for low-risk food exploration in a group setting while also being in your own kitchen. We hope you can join us soon!

Annual Adventures:
Food-Play Group Adventure
In these Group Adventures held twice per year (June and December), you’ll build a construction with graham crackers (or other edible “building materials”) and decorate it creatively using colorful snacks, treats, and other fun foods…then tear it down to snack on the ruins! Have fun playing with foods you love—and discovering new foods or combinations you enjoy—in a creative community gathering!
Vegan Cheese Workshop
In this 3-adventure series, we will spend the summer practicing and exploring the basics of vegan cheese-making, from quick make-and-eat cheeses, to cheeses that need time to set and/or develop flavors. In past years, we’ve focused on nut-based cheeses, but we may also make some using soy and/or seeds.
Ongoing Community Support:
Let’s Make Lunch!
Let's Make Lunch! is an invitation for us to show up and prepare nourishment for ourselves (whatever that looks like for you on a given day) in virtual community.
Think of it like coworking or having buddies for accountability specifically for making food.
Quantity Cooking for Solidarity
This virtual workshop supports individuals in preparing larger, manageable quantities of food to share with friends, neighbors, and strangers in community-building efforts. We take care of us, and together we can make nourishment more accessible for others facing food insecurity, on the frontlines of liberatory work, and having a rough day/week/month/year.
…AND in your grocery store!

Grocery Store Tour Scavenger Hunt
NEW OFFERING COMING SOON!
Grocery stores can be overwhelming, confusing, and challenging to navigate: there’s lots of data to process, decisions to make, and financial pressure too! I’m working on a scavenger hunt-like offering to create a lower-stakes learning space for small groups to get to know their local grocery store(s) a little better (I already offer this privately to individuals). We’ll explore together, discuss our discoveries, and find ways to make grocery shopping more accessible.
